Project Description

to be curious,
to explore,
to learn

“There must be a reason why the snails can’t go fast.”

Children are naturally curious about the world around them. They should be given the opportunity to be curious, to explore and to learn. At BCA, we don’t want our children to miss out any chance to grow.

How are we developing their curiousity at BCA?

1. Show them the world.
Apart from using an International Curriculum, we take our kids on a field trip every month to show them what’s out there in the world they are living in, so they can develop a connection between real life and what they learn at school.

2. Ask open-ended questions or wonder aloud.
“I wonder why the leaves are green?”
“There must be a reason why the snails can’t go fast.”
That’s what you will hear if you take a walk with us to the park and you will sure be amazed at how our kids respond

3. Prompt thinking.
There will be times when teachers get questions from our kids, but before giving them the answers, we will ask for their thoughts first.

4. Encourage natural interest.
Children do things best when they enjoy doing it, so we give our kids opportunities to do what they are interested.

5. Let kids be kids.
Unstructured play is a great way to nurture and develop your children’s curiosity and sense of discovery.

Comments

It’s amazing how kids find all those little creatures so quickly.
